The iPad 3 release date may be just around the corner
We recently reported the rumor that the iPad 3 may release early. There are no reports coming out that the iPad 3 may be coming to you on February 24, 2012. This however isn’t just a random date on the calendar. The 24th would have been Steve Jobs, Apple’s founder, birthday.
Steve Jobs reportedly was very active in the development of the iPad 3 before his death. Many believe that the iPad 3 is Steve’s last legacy to the world and that the iPad 3 will truly be the tablet that he has envisioned the entire time. Releasing the iPad 3 on his birthday would of course be a touching tribute to the man that created and saved Apple Inc and revolutionized many different industries.
The rumor of the iPad Mini has also been floating around the internet with no real support at this point. Steve had always said he was not interested in making a device in that form factor. It is possible that we may see the iPad 3 release on his birthday, and an iPad Mini release later in March which is the normal iPad release time. Apple of course may have zero plans for the iPad Mini despite the chance of it being a huge success.
The iPad 3 specs are rumored to be a vast improvement over the current iPad 2 model. There are rumored to be improvements to several different parts of the current iPad 2. Changes to the battery, display, and camera are the three biggest areas we look to see change. Other minor style and design changes may also occur with the newest iPad 3.
Of course there is no word out of the Apple camp on any possible release date for the iPad 3 or its possible design. Apple however owes itself to its founder Steve Jobs. A release on his birthday would truly be a fitting send off for the visionary. Being that the iPad 3 was the last Apple device worked on by Jobs it makes it even more fitting for its birthday to coincide with its makers. We here atiPad 3 News will of course stay on top of all iPad 3 news, information, and rumors.
